How to permanently disable Windows 11 "efficiency mode"?

I was experiencing trouble accessing particular streaming platforms in Chrome or Edge on Windows 11. Those green leaves popped up instantly and I couldn't get to the log-on pages at all. This was with only a single tab open in the browser, no other programmes/apps running in the foreground of my machine.

After weeks of just thinking I was doing something wrong or my ISP was trash, I came across this thread and used your suggested solution. Finally - the green leaves are no more! Or for now at least. Thanks for sharing.

This piece of **** keeps restarting on my VPN app, so i have to manually close it every 15 minutes. Problem is i work with a lot of money in time sensitive markets, and until now it´s been a matter of luck of not getting screwed whenever everything freezes for 5 or 6 seconds due to this PIECE OF EFFING **** being on.

Having to close it is bad enough, but RESTARTING AFTER MANUALLY CLOSING IT? It´s got to be the worst joke in programming history. Really, F everyone that worked or even suggested this ****!

I have never regretted upgrading Windows as much as I do right now. Now, all my programs and apps do nothing but freeze and lock up. I have tried so many things to disable this so that I can actually work and not have to restart due to my computer freezing up every 10-15min... and absolutely NOTHING works. On top of my laptop now being in expensive paperweight mode, I cannot revert to Windows 10 for some reason.

This is even worse than Cortana.

Thank you for your attention, but your solution is a palliative, by activating the performance mode the processor core works at maximum frequency and we don't want to damage it right!, we need a definitive solution using it in balanced mode and allowing the deactivation of this absurd feature in the manager of tasks, otherwise I will be compromising my equipment and having the hassle of activating and deactivating the power mode several times, think a little with me please...

Um, it does help and it will only run at 100% if the user lets it happen right!

Go into the advanced power management settings, scroll down to Process power management, expand minimum processor state and change the value from 100% to whatever you want right!

I have it set to 70% (no particular reason) and my i7-10700K will drop below the base 3.8ghz.

Maybe a BudLight exec got fired and went to work for Microsoft - they don't learn...
