How to permanently disable Windows 11 "efficiency mode"?

That switch is (and has been) OFF, with ZERO effect.

This (anti) efficiency mode has DESTRYED any efficiency this new computer had.

My 10 year old Widows 10 computer is orders of magnitude more efficient than this new Windows 11 machine!

With all due respect I was one of the top 50,000 Win95 testers internationally as well as a high level C# programmer for Department of Defense.

I use Chrome all the time. Once I went to Windows 11 with the 23H2 update my use of YouTube is ****.

The stupid, moronic efficiency mode says it only sleeps tabs that are not used. Yet the tab that I am on pauses and stops completely EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to search YouTube videos. EVERY TIME. This tab is active and yet it is constantly being stopped for seconds at a time.

So I switched to your stupid browser. Immediately I experienced the exact same thing. I go to YouTube and just moving my mouse causes everything to lock up. FOR AS MUCH AS 15 SECONDS. Then I found a post stating how to "turn it off in Edge". But even after doing that the stupid green leaves keep appearing and the pauses keep appearing. In fact, I'm surprised I can actually write in this page without that pile of dog poo from locking up my browser.

So someone on reddit then said that Brave avoided it. So I installed and tried Brave. I had exactly the same results, so whatever Brave had that hid it from this ignorant and poorly written pile of dog poop is now letting Efficiency Mode to discover Brave and screw up all of it's performance.

But interestingly enough I see that you are only attacking browsers with it. I do not see the disgusting green leaves on anything else.

This so called efficiency mode is absolutely HORRIBLE. It is destroying the ability to use the browser on YouTube, on Rumble, on X. So far you people have not managed to screw up mail yet but I'm sure the next update will destroy that as well. But it is obvious that PEOPLE (your effing customers who pay for this ****) need the ability to say "thanks, but no thanks" to this abomination of code.;

The system also decides, on its on, to jump back multiple screens (multi keyboards and mice)

Efficiency Mode is the culprit.

Adding the flag --disable-features=UseEcoQoSForBackgroundProcess to shortcuts for Chromium browers disables it. For Firefox, you have to set dom.ipc.processPriorityManager.backgroundUsesEcoQoS in about:config to false.

I would like to meet the engineer that thought this was a good idea and give them a piece of my mind !!!
