Internet stopped working and says “You’re connected using a virtual network adapter.

My dad is dead and I don't have an IT department. I guess you posted a unique solution that is only for you!

I fixed mine recently by turning off the laptop then UNPLUGGING from the charger cord as well for 10 minutes. (power cycle it was called)

I had the issue and neither restarting, reinstalling internet drivers, checking for updates worked (but i did try them beforehand so that might have did something)

After pinning down the error, of the internet driver AFTER checking for updates, there was an error code 10 which prompted the power cycle solution

I fixed mine by using 'recovery' options to go back a few days (see previous reply). Other people have tried a Hard Reset; https://www.reddit.com/r/ZephyrusG14/comments/12ho5mc/wont_connect_to_internet/

Some fixes work for some but not others.

Help how do i fix "you are connected using a virtual network adapter that we can't test fix but there isn't no virtual adapter."

my laptop was resetted and it was still the same i couldn't connect to wifi because of this error message however i went on the network adapter page on device manager and it only shows the built in wifi drivers in the laptop no virtual network adapters shown even on show hidden drivers

Recovery states:

"System restore does not affect any of your documents, pictures, or other personal data." but "recently installed programs and drivers might be uninstalled."

My comp was brand new so nothing new had been installed.

Sorry, that's all I've got. (apart from the usual switching it off and then back on / restart)
