says “You’re connected using a virtual network adapter that we can’t test”. I’m not using a virtual network adapter though

HP Pavilion Laptop Model 15-eg2025nr. Connect using WiFi. WiFi still works on all other devices. I was using my laptop and then it randomly disconnected. The WiFi tile is missing. When go to network center it gives me that message that I originally posted.

Hi ,I got the same issue just yesterday and i fixed it by accident (kinda).
All I did was go to Settings<system<troubleshoot<other trouble-shooters and did a troubleshoot on my Windows update .

I have the same problem as the original poster. I tried this and it didn't help. Though the troubleshooter is chamged and is now saying, not connected to ethernet, even though I'm not trying to use ethernet. (Don't have cable plugged in or anything). And as with OP, the wifi symbol isn't appearing so I can turn the wifi on/off whether I want to or not. Oh, and Like OP, I also have an HP Pavillion (though idk the exact model)
