It's 2025 and the option is still greyed out.
I do not understand why Microsoft decided it was a good idea to limit the functionality of the taskbar in Windows 11.
If it ain't broke, then leave it the f alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My system just did the lastest windows 11 update and all my tasbar items have been combined. When I go into taskbar behaviours to uncheck the option, the option does not exist? I tried searching settings and nothing appears. What can I do?

This has been working for me for a while now, I am now on version (from System Information) 10.0.26100 Build 26100 and it has been working since upgrading to 22H2 which was released on 09-2022.
With windows 11 update, the taskbar still collapses even after I selected Never and I don't like that I can't enlarge the taskbar like before. Can this be fixed?
I have had non combine in edge, public version windows 11 since I bought it. I've used combine never and combine always switching between the two. Until now. I switched to always and could not switch back. The command options are there. I switched back to never, it just wouldn't stop combining.
Hello,
Yep, never combine option available to everyone starting with Windows 11 version 22H2 KB5030310 Build 22621.2361.
