Even when you get the "never combine" setting back, they have ruined it. It will blank out half your taskbar for nothing and hide half the minimized programs behind 3 dots like that is what anyone asked for. Something very malicious microsoft is doing in trying to control end user thought. If win12 does not have the Windows 7 interface, I'm moving to Linux.
Can't un-combine taskbar items in Windows 11 after latest update
My system just did the lastest windows 11 update and all my tasbar items have been combined. When I go into taskbar behaviours to uncheck the option, the option does not exist? I tried searching settings and nothing appears. What can I do?
Windows for home | Windows 11 | Windows update

2024-06-04T16:50:43+00:00 One side-effect of this new taskbar feel/look is that it dynamically arranges the icons based on how many it decides can fit. So if you run a DOS window with a looping command that runs every 1 min (for loop with sleep 60), your application icons are re-arranging every minute. That's because MS DOS window changes the title depending on what command is currently being run in that DOS window. So you don't even touch your keyboard but the icons in your taskbar are changing, what a circuss show.
On top of that, there is an arbitrary space on the right-hand side of the infamous 3 dots, completely wasted.
C'mon Microsoft, you can do better than that.

2024-06-14T11:28:18+00:00 I have the opposite problem. My computer was upgraded to windows 11 yesterday and I am unable to stack like items/folders in my task bar.
I have the stack option set to always.
Any ideas?
