Can't un-combine taskbar items in Windows 11 after latest update

My system just did the lastest windows 11 update and all my tasbar items have been combined. When I go into taskbar behaviours to uncheck the option, the option does not exist? I tried searching settings and nothing appears. What can I do?

Windows for home | Windows 11 | Windows update

I've been using ExplorerPatcher for quite some time to make win11 less ****, but ****'s File Explorer keeps crashing when I use ExplorerPatcher to make the taskbar win10-style, so I was kinda forced to make my taskbar the default win11 style.
I am amazed that **** is bragging about this "new feature" they're adding to Windows 11 which was already in Windows 10...

    what an incompetence...

I'd revert back to Windows 10 and skip Windows 11 entirely, unless you're willing to wait years for fixes.

Windows 11 is a badly executed experiment designed for a market that never took off.

It's effectively an OS designed for tablets with a desktop overlay added as an afterthought.

Power users and desktop productivity went out the window in favour of oversimplicity.

Can you please hurry up with this and not try turning all features in Windows into a Mac? If I wanted a mac, I would have gotten a mac. I am not sure what compelled MS to do stupid things like this. Why not include an option to uncombine from the get go?

If you use multiple monitors, one way to declutter is to go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > When using multiple displays, show my taskbar apps on > Taskbar where window is open.

The uncombine function is coming to Windows 11 soon it's not polished yet though.

100% correct. I am losing productivity to this DOWNGRADE as well. I constantly refer to documents in other programs as I draft legal documents, and this adds seconds to my access to the information I need, which add up significantly over the course of the day. It is also extremely disruptive to my workflow and concentration, which is obviously extremely frustrating. FIX IT NOW PLEASE!
