My system just did the lastest windows 11 update and all my tasbar items have been combined. When I go into taskbar behaviours to uncheck the option, the option does not exist? I tried searching settings and nothing appears. What can I do?

Even when you get the "never combine" setting back, they have ruined it. It will blank out half your taskbar for nothing and hide half the minimized programs behind 3 dots like that is what anyone asked for. Something very malicious microsoft is doing in trying to control end user thought. If win12 does not have the Windows 7 interface, I'm moving to Linux.
Same here, I still don't have the option to turn this stupidity off in the Taskbar behavior!
Looks like a long history of hit and miss...
I checked my Windows Update (and I do add anything available) but nothing else to be updated.
Also ran the Troubleshooter as suggested by MS earlier in this thread. Nada.
Mine still has NO OPTION TO COMBINE!!????
What else can I do to get this installed and added properly.

I just upgraded to 2362 and while there is an option to combine Taskbar buttons or not, yet, there there is no option to include labels when combined, thus requiring mouse hover to tell what they are.
The only alternative to select to combine "when taskbar is full, but that is not the best option.
Meanwhile, if "Never" combine is chosen, then you have a button for every single window and document and browser (I use multiple copies of Firefox portable, each for its own general purpose). And the pop up for each window and document all show the same items.
Evidently, programmers cannot conceive of users having many documents open in which the want a compact yet identifiable taskbar buttons for. But I thank God for what I have.
Hope this can help (before it gets deleted with no explanation as usual). Note also that the previous work around via Explorer Patcher and 7+ Taskbar Tweaker does not work for me with W/11 ver. 23h2, and which are not used in what I described above.
