Can't un-combine taskbar items in Windows 11 after latest update

My system just did the lastest windows 11 update and all my tasbar items have been combined. When I go into taskbar behaviours to uncheck the option, the option does not exist? I tried searching settings and nothing appears. What can I do?

It is ridiculous now... so many months later and a feature that DID exist is now broken...

follow-up question. You can make it never combine, but it hides the extras when you have too many open, which isn't really very many. Why can't you remove labels until you hover & make the tabs smaller so they fit better?

With windows 11 update, the taskbar still collapses even after I selected Never and I don't like that I can't enlarge the taskbar like before. Can this be fixed?

This is not correct. I just checked for updates, and there were none available. The option to "never combine" windows on the taskbar is still missing. Hopefully this helpful option gets restored soon.

What OS build and version are you on? Are you on the insider channel? It's still slightly buggy, for example instead of showing "Microsoft Edge" when I am on this discussion, it says "Can't un-combine taskb" and then cuts off. This is consistent across several apps. I'm on Enterprise Build 22631.2199. Here's the article with the changlog for my build Announcing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22621.2199 and 22631.2199 (Beta Channel) | Windows Insider Blog. However, if you aren't on the insider build you likely won't see the feature yet.

My situation is similar. However the option is still there to "never"combine yet nothing has changed. The update only added the option but the interface didn't respond no matter the choice you make.

It actually came back for me today on the insider build and is working now so it might be worth a try again.
