Same here - the option as described is not available.
What other setting is needed or is this gone for good?
Of all the useful tools - this was not the one to remove and replace - very inefficient.

Hi all,
One of the most useful shortcuts I use all the time is not working for me on my new laptop with Windows 11. I used to use ALT + TAB to switch between the current window and the last window I used. Now if I use it it switches between the current window and the first open window (not the most recent). How can I get it so it switches between the two most recently used?

2024-02-18T19:16:04+00:00 Wow, I can't believe they took this away. I didn't want to switch to a mac at work because it wouldn't have my familiar keystrokes but if I don't get them in Windows either, it might be time.

2024-03-11T02:32:58+00:00 Under "Show tabs from apps when snapping or pressing Alt + Tab" click on "Don't Show Tabs". you can still hold alt and tab to see all the windows you have open, but pressing alt+tab takes you to your last open window just like on windows 10. Idk why this feature is disabled by default.

2024-03-12T01:00:35+00:00 Got my new work PC. Turns out the sysadmins already had this working like windows 10, so no problem. I still had to change the right-click menu from File Explorer to be the old way that I use all the time..
