Alt + tab no longer switches to last window in Windows 11

Hi all,

One of the most useful shortcuts I use all the time is not working for me on my new laptop with Windows 11. I used to use ALT + TAB to switch between the current window and the last window I used. Now if I use it it switches between the current window and the first open window (not the most recent). How can I get it so it switches between the two most recently used?

    I was using this for 20 years!! and you changed it without giving us the option to use it as before.
    Every new version you screw up something, its unbelievable. Who even came up with this nonsense? I cannot believe this would occur to any developer; the f*is going on there. Im absolutely furious...

    I am new to Windows 11, but my solution is to use the touchpad. Rest three fingers on it and a panel is brought up. Move your fingers to the right or left to select a window to move to. If you move your fingers down, the desktop will appear. This solution might not work for older touchpads, but Windows 11 cannot as yet be installed on older devices. I don't know how you would go with a mouse on a desk top PC but there is possibly a similar solution.

    Same issue here. I want switch only between the last window. Nothing else. What is this.
    When its a bug fix it. When not i go back to w10.

    this doesn't work. There is no option to select "open windows". I have only none, 3, 5, 20. It was already on 20.

    I've changed it to none to see what happens. My windows have rearranged so some of the more recent ones are no longer at the end, and no obvious change to anything else, though it's not perfect I think it's better
