Alt + tab no longer switches to last window in Windows 11

Hi all,

One of the most useful shortcuts I use all the time is not working for me on my new laptop with Windows 11. I used to use ALT + TAB to switch between the current window and the last window I used. Now if I use it it switches between the current window and the first open window (not the most recent). How can I get it so it switches between the two most recently used?

Simply just use the right ALT with TAB.

Yeah this change was frustrating, users should have to turn it on themselves and not have it automatically applied. I dare say most would not want it as they have been using it to change windows, not tabs, for MANY years!!!!

Got my new work PC. Turns out the sysadmins already had this working like windows 10, so no problem. I still had to change the right-click menu from File Explorer to be the old way that I use all the time..

Under "Show tabs from apps when snapping or pressing Alt + Tab" click on "Don't Show Tabs". you can still hold alt and tab to see all the windows you have open, but pressing alt+tab takes you to your last open window just like on windows 10. Idk why this feature is disabled by default.

    Thanks a lot.
This reverted the behavior to the Default "Alt + Tab" behaviour we are accustomed to. :)
