Wow, I can't believe they took this away. I didn't want to switch to a mac at work because it wouldn't have my familiar keystrokes but if I don't get them in Windows either, it might be time.

Hi all,
One of the most useful shortcuts I use all the time is not working for me on my new laptop with Windows 11. I used to use ALT + TAB to switch between the current window and the last window I used. Now if I use it it switches between the current window and the first open window (not the most recent). How can I get it so it switches between the two most recently used?

What other setting is needed or is this gone for good?
Of all the useful tools - this was not the one to remove and replace - very inefficient.

Please consider checking your system's Switch Settings as follows:
- Open Windows "Settings" by pressing Windows + I.
- Click on "System".
- Within the left panel, select "Multitasking".
- On the right panel, under "Alt + Tab", ensure that the option selected is "Open windows".
- Click "Save".
By following these steps, you should be able to switch between the two most recently used windows.

2024-03-21T17:12:55+00:00 Okay this has been frustrating me for a little bit. I finally figured out the new setting.
- Open Windows "Settings" by pressing Windows + I.
- Search for "Multitasking Settings".
- Expand "Snap windows"
- Uncheck "Show my snapped windows when I hover over taskbar apps, in Task View, and when I press Alt+Tab"
- [Recommended] Change "Show tabs from apps when snapping or pressing Alt+Tab" to "Don't show tabs"

Every new version you screw up something, its unbelievable. Who even came up with this nonsense? I cannot believe this would occur to any developer; the f*is going on there. Im absolutely furious...
