Hello Zafar! My name is Abdullah, and I will assist you today.

Your concern is duly noted. Please check the steps below:

    1. Open the File Explorer and choose the ... ellipses > Options.
    2. Go to the View tab and you will have the Expand to Open Folder" option under the Navigation pane.

Please check the screenshot I have attached.

    Thank you.

    Best,

    Abdullah

I have the same problem after the latest update. 'Expand to open folder' is checked, it's just not working.

I have pinned folders on my task bar and if I click on one of them, it opens Explorer and shows the files in that folder, but the Navigation Pane just shows my root drives and does not expand to the chosen folder.

Do you have any other ideas?

    Thanks,

    Brett

You must choose "This Pc" from "Open file explorer to".
    This works for me.

That's what I have selected, still doesn't work. As I said, this used to work before last week's update. I'm starting to think this is a bug.
