I installed KB5030310 update and Copilot is not showing

I have installed the update that became available today called "2023-09 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5030310)" and this did not give me the Microsoft Copilot function. Nothing happens when pressing WIN-C and I can't find settings for this function anywhere.

So what I did is join the Windows Insider Program (Dev channel) and got the latest update so I'm now running Windows 11 version 23H OS build 22631.2361 and I still don't see Windows Copilot function. Am I missing something?

    I'm from south america/brazil and after the update here the copilot also is missing, gone.

    Same here! No Copilot anywhere, and my Windows update settings always have "Get the lates tupdates as soon as they're available" turned on. Oh and I live in the US.

    I've ended up with a PowerShell script:
    Start-Process "microsoft-edge://?ux=copilot&tcp=1&source=taskbar"
    and run it from my desktop.

    FYI: if I run the same as a bat file: 

     Start "microsoft-edge://?ux=copilot&tcp=1&source=taskbar"

    all it does is open MS Edge.

    It may help some of you here.

    More info: My problem was using Explorer Patcher (https://github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher/releases) so that I could use a Win 10 taskbar while running Win 11 (I like my taskbar on the left of the screen). That means that I don't have CoPilot on my taskbar (and, for reasons I still dont understand, Win+C brings up the Calendar app).

    ah copilot os to buggy for every user and Microsoft rolled it back. as we speak copilot is supported only in office enterprise versions and ms edge windows itself won't get AI soon due to the fact that it requires a AI core at least in the CPU so may intel 15th gen will have full AI in windows.

    if you really want AI on windows get ChatGPT for windows

    ChatGPT For Windows

    that will be similar to the same copilot that it runs in the browser.

    For other reasons, I had to reinstall Windows from scratch on my laptop. Upon doing that, copilot showed up and works now just fine. So something went wrong during the install sequence when I originally got this machine which means it was never turned on (as far as I can tell).

    Very painful wait to enable such a feature, however...
