Windows 11 PC Sleep Mode Issue: Unresponsive Wake-Up and Fast-Spinning Fans

I am encountering a problem with my Windows 11 PC where it fails to wake up from sleep mode. The only solution I've found to turn it back on is by manually switching off the power supply and then switching it back on. Additionally, I've noticed that as soon as I initiate sleep mode, my computer's fans start spinning at a high speed. This issue began occurring randomly, and I have not made any recent updates or changes to my system.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken So Far:

  1. Checked for Windows Updates: I ensured that my Windows 11 is up to date with the latest updates and patches.
  2. Driver Updates: I have also verified that all my device drivers are up to date.
  3. Power Settings: I reviewed and adjusted my power settings
  4. Enabled & Disabled Fast Startup and Hibernate

    I have an HP Pavilion laptop 15-EG1053CL with all drivers, BIOS & Win 11 home OS updates. I have set 'sleep' & 'hibernate' to "Do Nothing" & if left on with lid closed it will go to 'sleep'. The *only* way to get it working is to fully drain & recharge the battery.

    I guess M$ is aware of this problem but hasn't come up with any fixes for us.

    If anybody knows of a fix, please let me-us know.

    I have Acer swift 5 and have had this problem for a while, more recently pressing power button for 6 seconds has started me having blue screens after a few minutes of restart necessitating 2 resets so far

    Same issue on a Dell and a Lenovo laptop, started after a running windows update, BiOS and drivers are up to date. Connected items like monitors will have their “signal” light flash rapidly once trying to wake it from sleep.

    Hopefully Microsoft fixes this
