Failed Install 2023-09 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5030310)

I am also unable to install this update. I have tried all of the recommended fixes; none have worked. When I start the update, the screen goes black with the usual "Don't turn off your computer" message, then the rotating circle of dots and percentage display appear. The percentage climbs to around 8%, then the display changes to a sequence of "Something didn't go as planned" and "Trying a few things" messages, usually with one or two restarts. Finally, it tells me the update failed and is being reverted. The error codes reported in Windows Update often change from one attempt to the next. My most recent attempt resulted in 0x8024a22d. I am at my wit's end. Help, please?

Side question: Why isn't text in WU selectable/copyable? It's a huge pain having to remember and retype KB and error code numbers repeatedly when investigating an issue like this.

i am having error 0x800f081f for this kb as well. but DISM and SFC repot no issues.

however..... afte following the dis-jointed directions from one of the latest posts - starting/restarting Bitlocker, crypto service, and windows installer i tried again.

THIS TIME something different happened. Windows security notified me that Protected memory access had blocked something while running the .MSU for kb5030310. i went into windows security, and for whatever reason, windows security was blocking svchost from working properly. I don't know why it is being blocked. I will temporarily turn off controlled folder access then try installing the update again.
