How delete messages that appear in Phone Link but are not on my phone?

On your phone, are you using the phone's app (Motorola Messages) or the Google Messages app? If you're using the phone's app, go to Google Play and download/install Messages by Google/Google Messages. You can run both at the same time but one will be the default. I find Google Messages to be a much better messaging app

I'm using the native moto text app which has worked fine for my purposes thus far. It wasn't until I tried deleting some extraneous messages from a parking service on the Phone Link that I discovered the non-delete option issue. These delete from the phone without a problem. It's just the WIN11 app on my laptop where the problem occurs.

Actually, I got spoiled with the old native Verizon app years ago that I found quite usable - until they quit supporting it and dropped it altogether. That was one of the reasons among many that I got rid of VZW.

I have run both the Samsung Messages app and the Google Messages at the same time. They even have the same "Messages" name. I switched back and forth and I'm pretty sure the messages followed, you just have to set one as default, like your browser. You could install Google Messages and then see if there's any in archive or the Blocked folders, delete them and then go back to your preferred app. Otherwise I think you'll just have to get used to the extra messages on Windows Phone Link.

Been sent texts = messages, that obviously cannot be removed at PC Phone Link. I've followed your specific instructions; both cell phone and laptop are linked - HOWEVER - screen with phone never comes on.

Any ideas ? political polling organization has sent these "stay forever" texts/messages - like "forever chemicals".

I have a Samsung S24+ and Lenovo laptop with WIN 11, so we're very close in equipment. I have never been able to delete anything from the WIN side, nothing. I can originate or reply but delete, as far as I know, is only on the phone.

I have found that anything on the phone side of Phone Link that is in Spam and Blocked or Archived will still show up on the WIN Phone Link with other messages, like they never left.

I don't know what the political texts are but I have been able to delete anything from the phone side of Phone Link and that eliminates them from the WIN side of Phone Link. I think you may be using the default SAMSUNG MESSAGES app that came with the phone. If so, go to the Play Store and download GOOGLE MESSAGES, then make that the default messaging app. (Your current messages will be visible in the Google Messaging App.)

Then open it and look for the small "face" on the right side, click on it and it will take you to the menu where you can access the Spam and Archived messages. Go into each section and delete the ones you don't want.
