Installation Failure for 2023-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5031356) 0x8007000D

Hi, I am unable to install latest Windows 10 22H2 Cumulative Update, with the error 0x8007000D. I have tried downloading the KB from Microsoft Update Catalog and run manually but I am getting this error as well. Has anyone else faced this issue and does anyone have a solution for this?

    Hi David,

    I have tried all of the above to no avail !

    LAPTOP SPEC

    CORE i7, 500G FREE SPACE, 12G RAM

    here are the error notifications -

    I would be most grateful if you can point me in the right direction ...

    error - 0x800f0827

    DISM failed

    error - 605

    The specified buffer contains ill-formed data

    '/startcomponentcleanup' is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

    After patience was nearly a by-word, I managed installing the items referenced in my note. It took an entire day to resolve.

    i did find numerous errors reported and corrected by >sfc command.

    Agree especially with your final paragraph Microsoft needs to come up with a fix to this problem. Still waiting.

    My desktop is not compatible with win 11, no TPM 2.0 and processor and graphics are not compatible. Not computer savey and it looks too complicated for me to try to beat the system. My win 10 desktop works great or at least it did until the kb5031356 update. Install failed but my taskbar was wiped out until I rebooted. Ran the Dism and the scandsk and the winupdate troubleshooter and they found no problems, yet, the kb5031356 failed install 4 times. Yet two other win updated worked.
