Windows 23h2 update not appearing?

It locked me out of the Microsoft App store, and any app that depended on the App store for updates also got locked out of

I had to do the screen share with Microsoft multiple times to try and figure out why... But in the end the solution was to do a reinstall

Which didn't fix the issue, so I ended up finding my factory restore Image from Lenovo

Now I am back up and good

I can say I solved this for myself.. from start if November until December the update was there waiting, but I had important stuff for a course I was taking. So I waited until Christmas break

But the update was gone for some reason.

None of the suggestions in this thread worked, I got my solution from the Lenovo forums

The solution for me was as followed

• type Local Group Policy in the search bar and it should give the option to edit group policy
• open that
• expand and navigate to

Computer Configuration > Admin Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update > Manage updates offered from Windows Update > Select the target feature update version

• once you get to this menu, check enabled
• in the blank boxes put Windows 11 in the first and 23H2 in the second
• click apply and ok
• run Windows Update and it should now show
• (after you get your update you can put that toggle back to not configured and future updates will show normally.... If you forget to put it back, when 24H2 or something comes out you won't ever see it)

Microsoft is taking its usual gradual process to rolling out the update ... Simply a lie!

That is not true. Same problem has been occuring since Windows 10.

Can you confirm that this process shown in the video of downloading the 23H2 from Microsoft website directly will be the exact same as if I did it through Windows Update?

I ask because I tried downloading Windows 10 version before from Microsoft website and it got rid of so many settings that I didn't even have Wifi anymore and it became a big headache to get the stock factory files from Lenovo to get things back to normal

I have the stock ISO on a usb from Lenovo if things don't work out, but I just want to confirm that if I followed this process it isn't going to put on some barebones version before I attempt to do it and waste my weekend trying to fix issues

For reference I am using Lenovo Thinkpad T16 with AMD

For me, it initially did show up back at the start of November, but I had to do a Restore because it made my speakers go crackle and made it very hard to do online calls over zoom, or listen to music with spotify

So now that there has been several updates since the initial release, I am now on break until the start of January I wanted to upgrade again to see if my issue has been solved yet

Every time I went into Windows update 23H2 was there and ready, I had to keep pausing it so I could do other updates for my computer.. but now that I was actually willing to update again the 23H2 update disappeared... it still shows in update history that i did it at one point, so it is registered that I can

But I confirmed in Settings > About and I am still on 22H2... I have tried multiple suggestions like listed here and none are allowing me to update via Windows Update... I am nervous to update right from Microsoft website without more clear instructions as I did that once before with Windows 10 and whatever version I got was so bare bones I lost all drivers, no wifi or anything
