Yet another limitation of the "new" features in Windows 11. The explorer history permanent drop down and now no pasting to the address bar. WHY DID YOU REMOVE EXISTING FUNCTIONALITY????!!!!! I feel like I ask this of Microsoft every couple years and 1) I get no answer and 2) nobody cares and 3) it never gets fixed because 4) they're big enough that on my best day I don't even show up as a blip on the best radar system they could ever own. My best is their insignificant. Why bother listening to customer feedback or keeping features people at this point have been using for over 20 years? Change is good, change is progress, but you're deleting things that used to exist. That's not change, it's regression. It would be like if Tesla started selling cars without rear-view mirrors and there was no possible way to attach them unless a third party company designed and manufactured them, but who wants to do that? At this point it's hard to care any longer. Every Microsoft product I've loved has been tossed on the ash heap, never to be seen again. (I'm looking at you, Media Center!) Hard to expect anything else at this point. Look how long they ran with the unbelievably STUPID full screen start menu in Windows 8/8.1. They broke Explorer and it's never going to get fixed. Thanks, Microsoft. Solves the moral dilemma of having never paid for any of your software I've ever used in my entire life save for a used copy of Windows 3.0 I bought in Austin when I was in middle school. If you didn't constantly ruin it I might feel like paying for it.
