Hi,

I'm really upset of the new address bar because I can't drag and drop anymore files to parent folder like in old file explorer address bar

Can you fix the problem in a close future update or tell me how to change this back to old version (exist in windows 11 file explorer)

The new address bar is above the tools bar (New - Cut - Copy - etc), the old one is bellow

Windows for home | Windows 11 | Files, folders, and storage

    Hi Shawn,

I would like to agree with Yoame. This new feature is a very frustrating and time-consuming update that has been sent out. In order to move files I have to open explorer in a separate window to make these moves.

Also, not having the New Folder button as a quick link in the toolbar is frustrating and also more time consuming now that it is a drop down. I used to be able to hit the folder button and automatically being typing. Now it is a longer process to click new, then select folder. It may seem minimal but these are the little changes that take forever to get used to, while hoping these will be corrected on future updates.

Please send the feedback to have this fixed in the future, or at least where users can choose to disable which new features have been included in the updates. The ability to pick and choose the features would be amazing.

    Thanks

    Shawn,
I've lost count of the number of times that I've tried to drop a file on the address bar. It was certainly enough to make it worth searching for, and finding, this particular thread.

Oddly enough I can't help wondering how many months of development into the old File Explorer was flushed just to churn out a new one whose U/I is consistent with other O/S apps. Seems like a poor choice. As was my recent choice to finally update to Windows 11.

No more drag and drop?! Way to make Windows worse. I can't understand the reason for getting rid of a feature which makes productivity more optimal.

Why!?!?!?!? I always use this and now it's the most cumbersome task ever having to cut and paste manually. I wish I stayed on Windows 10.

I had a client upset over this issue. I suggested the utility Q-Dir - she was satisfied with this solution. Just FYI for you folks.
