Windows 11 - How do I remove sign in/pin at start up COMPLETELY?

So you think my only option is to pay more money to Micro$oft so I don't have to login? That is your solution?

How about MS provide a solution that doesn't cost me money? How about making this easy? How about MS not being absolute ......

It changed the way the computer opens, in other words right to the Desktop. I don't want that, so how can I return it back to the 'Windows 11 Hello' page where I enter a PIN?

I also lost 'hibernate' and now have 'lock' in the power menu on shutdown.

Followed @EmilyS726 steps, but to no avail; Windows ended up creating a 2nd login, and complaining about not having connectivity.

The issue seems to be related to using a Microsoft Account (instead of a Local Account).

I'm running Win 11 Home, and here's the workaround that kind of worked for me

1. Launch netplwiz
2. Add a new user. You'll have to CHECK the "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" to activate the "Add" button.
3. Add a new user. Make it a Local account.
4. Don't set a password or PIN.
5. You'll likely have two or more "Users for this computer".
6. Highlight the Local account, then UNCHECK that "Users must enter a user name...." box
7. Restart. You shouldn't have to enter a PIN from now on.
8. Optionally, delete the old user account (i.e. the Microsoft account you most likely signed into or created when installing Windows).

Big caveat: You're basically creating a new user profile, and you'll have to set up everything as if you've just installed Win11 Home.
