Windows 11 - How do I remove sign in/pin at start up COMPLETELY?

Thank you so much! Why on earth is it so hard to have something that is actually user friendly? Finally I don't have to enter a pin!

EmilyS726 provided a fix that took a couple of tries. Don't ask me why. After third time, I was able to reboot without the PIN.

Emily's directions are:
Can you go to Settings > Accounts > Access Work or School, is there an account listed there? If so, please select it, and then disconnect it. Restart the computer. *** for me, I have a work/school account ***

If it continues, please go over these steps, I know some you might already do, but just go over it to review and make sure:

1. First, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign in options, scroll down to mid page, under "Additional Settings",Make sure "For improved security, only allow Windows Hello Sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device (Recommended). " is turned OFF.
2. Type netplwiz in the search on the taskbar and press enter, select your user, if the "user must enter a username and password to use this computer" box is NOT checked, please check it , click Apply. Then uncheck the box and click Apply. This will bring up a pop up window.
3. On this pop up window, this is where most mistakes happen. Very important, erase the username that's prefilled. Username should be your entire email address for your Microsoft account. Password is your Microsoft account's password. Any typo here can prevent it from working. Then click OK. And back to the netplwiz page, click OK.

I am running Pro. This is a change that suddenly appeared. The computer has not required a pin since I originally configured it.

I use a PIN on laptops, but this system I intentionally configured without a PIN to slow down the boot.

Microsoft changed something I didn't want.

I agree 100%! and they try and make you only get apps thru them. Ridiculous!
