Disappearance of Windows 11 Taskbar Icons after Switching Virtual Desktops

In Windows 11's built-in virtual desktop feature, there is a high probability that icons of active applications on the current desktop may not be displayed when switching between different virtual desktops. The icons only appear when I click on the respective application. I have attempted to resolve the issue through restarts and using Sfc and Dism for repairs, but the problem persists. An essential configuration to note is that the taskbar is set to display windows only from the current desktop.

    This didn't fix it for me.

    All the workarounds are no option for me since I switch between desktops regularly.

    Same issue here and it's very, very irritating. My PC is a custom build running Win11 Pro 23H2 with all updates applied at the time of writing. I use virtual desktop switching a lot to manage the myriad of applications I have running during a working day. I often have four or five icons go blank after a desktop switch. I really don't need this while I'm trying to get work done - please fix it quickly...

    I can confirm that issue persists across the latest main 23H3 build as well as the beta build (22631.3085 and 22635.3209 respectively). This issue is driving me insane.
