Disappearance of Windows 11 Taskbar Icons after Switching Virtual Desktops

In Windows 11's built-in virtual desktop feature, there is a high probability that icons of active applications on the current desktop may not be displayed when switching between different virtual desktops. The icons only appear when I click on the respective application. I have attempted to resolve the issue through restarts and using Sfc and Dism for repairs, but the problem persists. An essential configuration to note is that the taskbar is set to display windows only from the current desktop.

    Same problem for several months. I'm fairly sure it started when explorer was updated with tabs. No "fixes" have worked, just workarounds (dragging icons and Win+d).

    Hi , after trying solutions online to know avail , i looked at it critically and realized it only happens during the animation of switching tabs , so i disabled animation effects in Settings under Accessibility > Visual effects. I also realized turning it off and back on fixes it , at least for me , so you can just leave it disabled if it doesn’t for you. Hope this helps

    Try disabling animation effects in Settings under Accessibility > Visual effects. I also realized turning it off and back on fixes it , at least for me , so you can just leave it disabled if it doesn’t for you. Hope this helps

    Same with me , i thought i could live with the little quirks but i couldn’t so after vigorously looking for solutions again none working , i realized it had to do with the animation.
