I'm getting BSOD with error nvlddmkm.sys

My computer has been working fine ever since purchasing it a couple of years ago. I recently installed the new update and since then my computer refuses to run games, and crashes to a blue screen with 'error nvlddmkm.sys'. before it goes to blue screen it will go into kind of pixels, sometimes green, sometimes white then restart the pc.

I've tried formatting my harddrives and SSD, I've tried everything YouTube videos say but it just doesn't seem to work. I'm worried that it's my GPU because I can't afford a new one. I currently have a 2080ti.

Any help fixing this would be appreciated whole heartedly.

And you have just kept it on the oldest drivers since then? no updates? are you able to still play games?

Well i don’t really play games, just some apps that require heavy processing and have 2 extra monitors. But the issue was solved and no more BSOD. You may try to install a more recent driver and try.

Sadly it was my 2080ti that died. I ended up buying a 4070ti in the end a long with a brand new pc lol.

.. but it was my GPU that died.
