My computer has been working fine ever since purchasing it a couple of years ago. I recently installed the new update and since then my computer refuses to run games, and crashes to a blue screen with 'error nvlddmkm.sys'. before it goes to blue screen it will go into kind of pixels, sometimes green, sometimes white then restart the pc.
I've tried formatting my harddrives and SSD, I've tried everything YouTube videos say but it just doesn't seem to work. I'm worried that it's my GPU because I can't afford a new one. I currently have a 2080ti.
Any help fixing this would be appreciated whole heartedly.

I'm having this same issue on a RTX 4070, attempted to play Cyberpunk 2077 which used to work without any issues but now I can't even get passed the part of the game where you're leaving Watson with Jackie after saving the woman because the game crashes, makes an awful screeching noise and then blue screens saying the error is to do with nvlddmkm.sys which is an NVIDIA driver file that according to searches on in my files doesn't exist
Hello, I was able to sort this problem by going to device manager, uninstalling the device and DELETING the drivers. Then went to computer manufacturers webpage to download the oldest version available and installing it. In my case it is an ASUS.

did anything ever work for you? like did you try replacing the motherboard? I've been having this issue intermittently for like a year now. I have the H1 mini pre built from NZXT and have already had to have the gpu replaced but thats obv not the problem but they refuse to help. T-T
were you able to find anything that fixed it completely? I have had the issues about the same time frame on and off. Most games are fine but OW2 is where it crashes the most idgi. ive done everything w drivers and replaced gpu once
