I'm getting BSOD with error nvlddmkm.sys

My computer has been working fine ever since purchasing it a couple of years ago. I recently installed the new update and since then my computer refuses to run games, and crashes to a blue screen with 'error nvlddmkm.sys'. before it goes to blue screen it will go into kind of pixels, sometimes green, sometimes white then restart the pc.

I've tried formatting my harddrives and SSD, I've tried everything YouTube videos say but it just doesn't seem to work. I'm worried that it's my GPU because I can't afford a new one. I currently have a 2080ti.

Any help fixing this would be appreciated whole heartedly.

    Find nvlddmkm.sys in system32

    Click on properties, under securities tab

    Enable full USER control

    Apply then restart

    This should fix all BSODs related to nvlddmkm.sys Keep in mind windows updates may reset this, just redo the process.

    I have the exact same problem.. been on repair twice it works for like one month then keeps crashing 0 errors under stress test i can play warzone 260 fps cs2 300-400 fps but i keep getting my crashes back all the fkn time i have a rtx 3070

    i     have 1650ti mobile for months it crashed now the same thing like WHEN ARE YOU GUYS GONNA FIX THIS i took it to repair shop said " software issue with windows " like are we a joke to you guys like we're not customers fix your stuff it's frustrating

    Sadly it was my 2080ti that died. I ended up buying a 4070ti in the end a long with a brand new pc lol.

    .. but it was my GPU that died.

    Well i don’t really play games, just some apps that require heavy processing and have 2 extra monitors. But the issue was solved and no more BSOD. You may try to install a more recent driver and try.
