How to fix Windows 11 saying i'm not connected to the internet but apps and browsers connect and work?

Windows 11 update is not working saying "We couldn't connect to the update service. We'll try again later, or you can check now. If it still doesn't work, make sure you're connected to the Internet." (I checked and the windows update service is running), I tried the windows troubleshooter for network and internet and it says "Looks like you aren't connected to the internet." but all apps and browsers connect to internet fine. Today I tried a repair install of the new 23H2 update from the ISO and no luck with that, the troubleshooter and windows update still say no connection to internet. What now?

Same problem occurred this morning on my PC.

    I SOLVED IT.

Here are the steps in the order I took them:

    1. Restart PC
    2. Reset Network
    3. Turn off WiFi router for 30 seconds (give or take) while PC was on
    4. Turn on WiFi
    5. Restart PC

After 5 minutes my PC was back online and it could see that it had an internet connection.

I should also mention that my PC is connected via Ethernet to my router.

    Hope this helps someone else.

I have the same problem, have tried all suggested fixes, still won't connect.

    Hi, ShadowofDeath,
Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue.

Usually, this problem is caused by a corrupted or outdated driver. Please provide some more details to help identify what is causing this problem. Are you using a laptop or a desktop? Which is the full model of your computer/laptop or motherboard?

Also, attach a screenshot of the System Information Page:
1-Right-click on Start then click on Run
2-Type: msinfo32 and click on Ok

And a screenshot of the version of the driver installed:
1-Right-click on Start then click on Device Manager
2-Click to expand the Network adapters
3-Right-click on the Wifi/Ethernet driver and click on properties
4-Take a screenshot of the General and Driver tab

You can see at this link how to include a screenshot in your post.
