How to fix Windows 11 saying i'm not connected to the internet but apps and browsers connect and work?

Windows 11 update is not working saying "We couldn't connect to the update service. We'll try again later, or you can check now. If it still doesn't work, make sure you're connected to the Internet." (I checked and the windows update service is running), I tried the windows troubleshooter for network and internet and it says "Looks like you aren't connected to the internet." but all apps and browsers connect to internet fine. Today I tried a repair install of the new 23H2 update from the ISO and no luck with that, the troubleshooter and windows update still say no connection to internet. What now?

    It's been " weeks a got this issue and still stuck after hours and hours of chat with MS support team, trying to fix it, I got the globe icon but I am connected to internet and can browse

    But when i try to update W10 or try to download an app from MS Store, I got thos prompt

    We couldn't check for updates, because you aren't connected to the Internet. Make sure you have a cellular data or Wi-Fi connection and try again.

    The problem comes from Microsoft but their support cannot find a simpe solution to fix it

    Since 3 weeks, I tried dozen of solutions suggested by them an restart 100 times my PC (on theur suggestion) but the problem remain the same

    I finally got my windows 11 update working again.

    I installed windows 11 in a virtual machine with the ISO from Microsoft's website then exported the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SystemCertificates" registry tree then exported it from the virtual machine, then imported it to my registry and it fixed windows update. Seems like Microsoft overlooked checking the system certificates with troubleshooter built in the settings. I also saved the system certificates .reg file in case windows 11 messes itself up again.

    Never mind its still messed up I keep having to re-import the windows 11 System Certificates registry settings from a virtual machine into the main machine every week or so.

    Did anyone figure out how to solve this issue? I'm having the same issue and it's driving me nuts. Tried all the tricks in the book but nothing is working.

    I have had the same issue since 2 months yet and I am with Win 10. So back to W10 would not solve your problem

    It's really amazing and unbelievable that Microsoft support cannot solve such problem !!!!

    I have a wired computer, not using WiFi and I have the same issues. Some apps think the internet is disconnected even while the browser is working. This only happened once I went to Windows 11. Never have I had this issue before where some applications do not see that I am connected to the internet. This is 100% a Windows 11 issue. Microsoft just does not want to admit it.
