Windows 11 update is not working saying "We couldn't connect to the update service. We'll try again later, or you can check now. If it still doesn't work, make sure you're connected to the Internet." (I checked and the windows update service is running), I tried the windows troubleshooter for network and internet and it says "Looks like you aren't connected to the internet." but all apps and browsers connect to internet fine. Today I tried a repair install of the new 23H2 update from the ISO and no luck with that, the troubleshooter and windows update still say no connection to internet. What now?

I have had this issue for years. I cannot access Microsoft Store. I am connected but interface says No Internet. I can browse the Internet but I cannot use the MS Store. I have tried every troubleshooting technique on the web. Reinstalled Win11 and it doesn't work. I wonder if everyone with this problem has a custom built system. Does anybody with a Dell or HP have this issue?

Thank you for your reply. I tried the other fix from another person, and that had no effect either. I think I can live with it. I just hate feeling alarmed that my internet is not working, but it is. Perhaps they will fix something in the next big upgrade. I can't imagine they don't know about the issue. Happy Holidays!
Oddly enough, it does not.
It should do so but for whatever reason, it doesn't work for me.
What I am able to replicate in my instance is that as long as I wait till it shows 'Connected' on the main login screen (without clicking or hitting any keys at all), it'll not have this issue.
Clicking and bringing up the password/ pin prompt will seem to stop this process - it'll be stuck on having 'No Internet' for whatever reason.
I'm not entirely keen on reinstalling Windows but there may come a time that I'll do so - probably when upgrading my system drive to a larger capacity.
