How to fix Windows 11 saying i'm not connected to the internet but apps and browsers connect and work?

Windows 11 update is not working saying "We couldn't connect to the update service. We'll try again later, or you can check now. If it still doesn't work, make sure you're connected to the Internet." (I checked and the windows update service is running), I tried the windows troubleshooter for network and internet and it says "Looks like you aren't connected to the internet." but all apps and browsers connect to internet fine. Today I tried a repair install of the new 23H2 update from the ISO and no luck with that, the troubleshooter and windows update still say no connection to internet. What now?

    hi. could you please send a copy of your register

    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NlaSvc\Parameters\Internet

    I found an error in mine on "ActiveWebProbeHost" = msftnsi instead of msftncsi
    I corrected it but doesn't solve the issue

    I am on Win10. IT seems that nothing special to notice about events

    It si amazing that Microsoft isn't able to give a solution to this kind of minor issue

    Your registry looks identical to mine
    Can you check your event viewer (details in the link in my previous post)
    Mine was showing a failure that was translated to the probe succeeding but not returning the correct data, as soon as I changed this url, it passed and connected icon appeared immediately.

    Maybe you have a different issue?

    it makes sense. I will give a try and let you know. Do not need to change the other probe parameters ? below register after change of ActicveWebProbeHost
