How do I disable Copilot and all Other AI functionality in Windows 11 PRO

You are obviously ignorant of privacy regulations with which businesses—especially medical or financial—MUST comply on pain of prosecution.

• For these organizations, any informtation leakage can potentially send anyone working within these organizations to jail—and, in many cases, for hard time, not a mere slap on the rist.

This includes you doctor, their nurses, anyone at your bank, etc.: get the picture?

Actually your analogy is the most fitting. Like you, I don't change my own oil. Not because I'm afraid of getting my hands dirty, but because if something goes wrong in my car I don't want the dealership trying to claim it's because I didn't follow some arcane procedure that they've established to keep their profit margin up.

It's also why I don't use pirated keys for M$ products. Because although I always knew they were spying on me and using my information at least the product worked most of the time.

I draw the line with M$ co-pilot because it doesn't work, continues to spy, and is being forced down my throat in a way that can't be uninstalled completely, despite what M$ says. This will eventually become another piece of unused bloatware like the gaming software that won't go away.

My analogy for M$ is similar to one from Star Wars.

The more you tighten your grasp the more software users will slip through your fingers. (In short I came aboard this ride almost 40 years ago with version 1.03. But as soon as I can replace the M$ spyware/bloatware factory its gone.

I'm all for supporting Devs that are pre/repackaging Ubuntu with a selection of applications installed and semi-configured for ease of use. And $48 for the "Pro" edition isn't that bad considering what you're really paying for is for them to package a bunch of software in an Ubuntu/Debian distro and then put a pretty GUI on it that looks more familiar to you. However, it's still Linux under the hood which is subject to all of the Linux quirks. And all of that is free to grab for yourself and add to a Ubuntu/Debian distro if you want to spend the time doing it as ChristopherChiesa described.

But I get it. It's why I pay someone to change the oil in my car at a service shop. Why, because the $50 I'd save in cost by doing it myself isn't worth my time and labor. For $50 more I don't have to crawl under my car and get my hands dirty. Peachy Keen. :)

I was reading this morning in the news how Wells Fargo fired some people for using keyboard simulators to defeat corporate spyware. And I thought to myself, "Mouse clicks and keyboard touches does not equal productivity.  But corporate spy software doesn’t really know that unless it starts to look suspect." Then I started laughing because of Windows Recall... the ultimate in spyware... and how MS is backtracking now on pushing this crapware out. Make me think oh how that keynote presentation might go. ( There so needs to be a standardized Sarcasm font. lol )
