How do I disable Copilot and all Other AI functionality in Windows 11 PRO

I think that is a bit unfair, I've been computer industry watching for the past 40 odd years - as my job - and if there was ever a phrase that defines the industry's attitude to the user it's 'suck it up'. I truly sympathise that you are going to feel 'watched over' as these new technologies arrive, but arrive they will.

I totally agree with fighting it (I'm only here cos I'm looking for a way to disable copilot - possibly even more smug that that bloody paperclip) but you need to realise that it’s going to be *your* time used fighting it.

Like others here, I have no desire to offend but I'm afraid it's not condescending to explain that this is going to happen, either get used to it or put in the effort to ameliorate it. I'm very sorry if that sounds harsh - but what "we" want doesn't really come into it, what "they" put into their systems that we buy is what we are going to get.

And no, I'm not saying that is good or even OK.

As for windows Copilot, and other installed non-essentials, there is a way possible way to "actually" remove Copilot permanently from W10 and W11, as I have done this to remove Edge, and a few other items from older builds of W11. I haven't gotten around to trying this with the latest build, but there is a few tools out there that allow for de bloating windows ISO files, so by the time you install Windows, if you don't want Edge, it wont be there, and any other pesky non-essentials that you don't want.

It takes some time (and patience) to do, but with my older installs, it has been worth it.

Go to 11 forums, and search "remove preinstalled apps from base image", or some other variations of this, and try some of the suggested apps that others have mentioned.

No doubt! I have tried numerous ways to disable copilot. Here it is tax season and I am wasting my time fighting with Microsoft to protect my clients' data. This is absolutely insane. MS is taking no steps for those of us that work with sensitive personal information. I even downloaded some anti-spy software that is supposed to block copilot, but it appears MS has found a work around. This is all so rapey LOL

I use my PC for confidential private work for my profession. So "get used to it" is a bit condescending and just narrow minded.
