  • Download defender_diag.bat. Right-click on the file, click Properties, Unblock, and OK. Run the batch file as administrator.

Those entries have no significance. Those entries show up in my system as well. You'll see a lot of Not Found entries for any operation you do. Usually, most of those entries have no significance.

You may try this if possible.

Download this REG file and save it to a folder named c:\reg\

Launch AdvancedRun (from Nirsoft) and start cmd.exe as TrustedInstaller.

In the TrustedInstaller Command Prompt, run:

  • reg.exe import c:\reg\securityhealth.reg
  • exit

This restores some essential registry keys used by Defender.

    PS, I previously reinstalled Windows 11 at the start of this isuue and this did not fix it !!

    Ok. I missed that somehow.

    Please download this REG file and save it to the desktop.

    Move the REG file to the C:\ root. -- i.e., c:\defender_fix.reg

    Download AdvancedRun (64-bit) from Nirsoft and run it.

    Using AdvancedRun, start cmd.exe as TrustedInstaller. [See screenshot here]

    In the TrustedInstaller Command Prompt, run:

    • reg.exe import c:\defender_fix.reg

    Press Enter. Post back the output message here.

    Right-click Start, click Shutdown, and click "Restart".

    After the restart, open Windows Update and check for updates. Install all available updates related to Microsoft Defender.

    The Windows Security app is outdated. That could be one of the causes. Let me know if the repair installation helps.
