Why Does Windows 10/11 Copy and Paste Stop Working After A While?

For the last few months my Copy/Paste will stop working after I've been logged-on for awhile. If I log off and back on (no Restart, though), it will start working again... for awhile, that is. It was happening on Windows 10, so I went ahead and upgraded to Windows 11, hoping it would fix the problem, but it didn't.

I've looked through other postings, but most of them involve a Restart, which certainly works but so does a simple log off/log on. I generally don't log out at the end of the day, just lock it. Does anyone have a solution other than creating a whole new profile?

    I worked with Microsoft level 3 for over 8 months, they really didn't find any fix. I fixed myself by start ing with a copy of Windows 10 that had copy and paste work, then I did a migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11 from a USB drive and it worked.

    Also I found that this works:

    I had the same problem, this worked for me.

    I've placed keystrokes in square brackets to indicate the keyboard touches, and the 'WIN' key refers to the Windows Key on the keyboard. (e.g. [ctrl+alt+del])

    1. [Win + R] to open the Run Window
    2. [services.msc] => [enter]
    3. Click the 'Name' column heading to be sure the items are listed in alphabetical, A to Z.
    4. Scroll down to find the item listed 'Connected Devices Platform Service'
    5. Double-Click the item to open the properties window.
    6. Change the 'Start-up Type' in the drop-down to 'Disabled'. Mine was set to 'Automatic (Delayed)'.
    7. Reboot

    Lỗi này vẫn lặp lại ở bản cập nhật windows mới nhất, 24H2.

    Với những file nhỏ khoảng 1G thì không gặp lỗi nhưng khi copy file 7G sẽ xuất hiện lỗi khi copy được khoảng 30%.

    Xin hỏi đã có cách nào xử lý triệt để chưa?

    Copy paste fails and it happens after some time working in Windows 11. Like a bad array loop finally stalling from poor coding or conflicts in else if. Very frustrating to see how poorly coded and yet MS seeks us to pay more for their broken strings. Please fix it soon or will dual boot OS's with Linux as primary so to get back to W10...

    Just a thought from a coding stance:

    An unknown character is being attempted and denying the paste

    ...could this at all be the reason?

    I have a windows 11 able laptop and it still runs windows 10...i wonder why.
