Windows Spotlight suddenly decided to use Thai language instead of my system setting (US English). How to fix this?

I was in Thailand and this happened as soon as I left so I had a moment of fear of malware/hackers but I was relieved to see this chain and that I am not alone. Agreed that this is not cool, Microsoft!

I've been having the same issue since end of last year and I thought that it was my computer. I was a little amused at the beginning waiting for it to resolve itself.

The issue appears on and off, but it's becoming really annoying. I tried to open Bing maps and everything was in Thai. I don't have the least idea of Thai and I'm located far away from Asia. All the settings are right on my computer both region and languages.

So, why am I getting content in Thai?

Traveling a lot for work this as other have said certainly sparked a fear of malware/intrusion, really not cool Microsoft...

Also an issue for us for all our staff. Caused considerable concern about hacking issues before I located this thread.

this must have been a bug in the last update. i have not been traveling around the world, and I don't have a VPN, but it still changes to various languages as if the description/info blurb language is based on where the picture was taken or the default language settings on the photographer's computer (?), ignoring my settings.

I did change back to the normal picture only lock screen until this gets sorted.
