How to fix Search bar not working after Windows 11 23H2 update

I have the same issue with the Search Bar not working after update to Windows 11 23H2.

I have tried all the fixes and none of them have worked.

The thing I noticed is that there is no Windows Search running in the Task Manager Processes.

The only way the Search Bar will work is in Safe mode.

Any more new ideas ? This surely is a common issue the Windows 11 23H2 update as there are tons of user's with the same issue.

Didn't work for me. Whatever my problem was, it was a cascade with more issues coming up daily. Ultimately, I reinstalled Windows which solve the problem.

My Windows became so unusable that I reinstalled. Since this was the build that came with my PC, I couldn't find the license key and had buy a license with install media. I bought a Pro license since that was what was on the PC. A costly fix but now I have a key I can refer back to if I need it and I have the install media. Fortunately, this was a new PC, and I hadn't fully transferred all of my data or apps, but it could be a weeks long effort to fully rebuild if you go this route. My PC has been working perfectly now for weeks with no issues.

As an FYI, since I don't have a CD drive on the PC, I chose to purchase the Windows License on USB media. If you go this route, note that you can download the media, purchase with CD media, or purchase with USB media.

I'm still having same issue. Running win11.

If I search for picture(s) that I loaded from my camera such as "DSC0xxxxx" Explorer starts seaching then crashes every time. Please help.

Microsoft needs to fix this issue. I'm assuming the same problem occurs if you're using Outlook or any other local version of a Windows 365 app?
