    Maybe a simple solution would be checking if the Indexing Options including the folder location to be searched files for. For this, go to Settings/Indexing Options and click Modify to add the folder to be included then wait for the Indexing of that folder until it is completed before you start searching.

    Tried all possible fixes found everywhere on internet, I eventually uninstalled the update using the command

    wusa.exe /uninstall /kb:<kb number>
