How to fix Search bar not working after Windows 11 23H2 update

We have this now on 4 pc's in the office.

Nothing works we can not get any results, even in a folder where there is one document he can not find the document in the search bar.

I hope Microsoft fixes this fast.

I even reinstalled windows on one pc but still nothing helps.

Disabling web search on the search bar resolved the issue for me after none of the other solutions worked.

Alternatively, you might want to find a link that has pictures as this was difficult to follow.

If you are using windows pro or enterprise there is a way to disable we search in the group policy settings, but I cannot comment on whether or not that that resolves this issue.

It opened with searchbar on top but the search section empty. This getappxpackage did work (with a lot of red text), so now I can use the searchbar again, but the part below the search and above taskbar looks very differently. Why is that, is that because of a windows update? Can I change it?

I had this problem, but it was several months back. It kept getting worse with more and more parts of Window not working. Since this was the Windows Pro that came installed on my PC which was new, I had to purchase a new Windows Pro with media. This was because I couldn't find the key to reinstall. That may have been on me, but doing a cold install did the trick. It did cost me the price of a Windows Pro license with the upcharge for getting it on a flash drive, but it worked. I've had no problems since. I'm guessing that having the new license essentially deleted the original install completely. Since you're saying that a reinstall doesn't work, I'm definitely leaning towards needing a cold install with a new license.
