2024-03-10T09:55:44+00:00 Hi,
Thanks for all of the replies and suggestions. Unfortunately none of the advice has worked. I contacted Microsoft who tried to remove this remotely but were also unsuccessful. They told me its an issue with 'Bing' and they cannot do anything!
Anyway i now use Google Chrome and dont have any problems.

I am Bill, an Independent Advisor. I am here to help.
To disable the Windows 10 Copilot, right-click the Taskbar and clear the “Show Copilot (preview) button” option.
That only removes the icon. What people want to know is how to get rid of Copilot -- we didn't ask for it, we have no use for it, and it clutters our systems.

2024-04-12T23:13:58+00:00 For Windows 10 disable of CoPilot, create a batch file with the following commands and then execute it in an elevated command prompt:
reg add "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsCopilot" /f /v "TurnOffWindowsCopilot" /t REG_DWORD /d 1
reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsCopilot" /f /v "TurnOffWindowsCopilot" /t REG_DWORD /d 1
After execution, logoff and log back on to see that CoPilot has been removed.

How do you know it's been removed ... because you can't see it?
