Is Microsoft money still available in 2024?

Money Plus Sunset (essentially Money 2006) is still available from non-Microsoft sites. These 2 sites should be safe, but there are multiple download links. Make sure you're downloading Money.

https:// download.cnet.com/microsoft-money-plus-sunset-deluxe/3000-2057_4-77545178.html https:// money-plus-sunset-deluxe.en.softonic.com/

Both of these are bad links as of 4/23/2024.

Good link.

Another good link for Money Plus Sunset (US) https://www.softpaz.com/software/download-microsoft-money-plus-sunset-home-business-windows-31830.htm

Yes. Bills and projected balance are great. I have used it for 20 years and still love it.

    "It's dead, Jim!"

Money in Excel is probably your best bet if you want to stick with Microsoft products. More info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Money

I highly recommend moving into the modern age and look at something like You Need A Budget (YNAB). If you really want to stay with an offline desktop all, consider GnuCash, which is completely free.

You Need A Budget (YNAB) is $109/year as of Sept, 2024.

    GnuCash is free

"It's dead, Jim!" Microsoft doesn't care about you managing your money. They killed off two projects after Microsoft Money: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Money

I highly recommend moving into the modern age and look at something like You Need A Budget (YNAB). If you really want to stay with an offline desktop all, consider GnuCash, which is completely free.

    You Need A Budget (YNAB) ( https:// www dot ynab.com/ ) is $109/year as of Sept, 2024.

    GnuCash is free.

Another up and coming solution is Actual Budget. It was a commercial product, but in early 2024 went FOSS. It's very much a D-I-Y solution, but there are a number of hosting providers that can have you up and running in 15 minutes or less for as little as $1.50/month. Just be sure to go the the ActualBudget-dot-ORG website and not ActualBudget-dot-COM. The dot-com is the former commercial offering and is a stale website not being maintained and with out-dated information; unfortunately it is still to top search hit for "Actual Budget".

Actual Budget is free when you self-host, minor cost to pay someone to host it for you.
