Hello.

When try to play magic the gathering through steam the cpu goes up to 100 % and the 80-85% is from the game and the fans goes crazy. I figured i have outdated driver or something, so i try to find driver updates through windows update, and optional updates.. but everything is up to date.

Then i thought okay, and checked the device manager through control panel to check for yellow or red notifications. But didnt find any, but anyhow i searched for updates in device manager even though it didnt have any indications of needing updates (the ones i tried until i gave up was up to date).

Then i though okay again, and tried to troubleshoot windows update, and there it is "issue detected", i tried to troubleshoot again to be sure that it was resolved as it proclaims but it comes again. Then a third time for good messure, but it still there. Then i tried the "sfc /scannow", but it says "... did not find any integritation violations". ..............

Without any programs running: 11 - 15% cpu, 35% memory, 1% disc, 43c temperature. With the one game launched at the lowest setting, (its a online card game): 85 - 100% cpu (most 100), 44% memory, 1% disc, 90c temperature until the fans hits hard, then its down to 66 - 80 - 85c temperature, after a while it stays at around 65 - 70c. But cpu is staying between 97-100%.

..................

I did a factory reset on the computer because of a problem this forum helped me with. I downloaded a healthsecurity zip, that fixed "IT-ADMINISTRATION limited access problem".

Most of that sounds normal when playing a game in Windows Desktop Windows Manager is associated to the graphics rendering in Windows, it is normal for that to use a lot of CPU.

    Hi.

I brought my computer to a IT store. He checked the computer and thought that the things that ive brought up here was pretty wierd.. but clean installed a new windows 11 (later version), and the ot-administration problem was fixed, and he installed manually all the drivers. I notice now that agsin when i launch magic the gathering the windows driver foundation is pendling from 20 - 40%. Cpu

The game itself is at 17 -30% rather than 80 - 90% cpu.

But either way the fans goes like crazy after 2 minuttes into the game, its 62°c temperature and stays there.

Deskop windows manager is at 50% cpu.

Try the steps provided on this thread to try to resolve the problem with the Driver Foundation Framework using high resources.

So, its not solvable? What about a clean install of win11, all new files? Is that possible?
