Is there a workaround for KB5034441 install failure that doesn't require partition modification?

We know about the failure of KB5034441, and the recent recommendations to modify a partition as a workaround. As an old school practitioner (since 3.1 came on floppies), and having crashed many a hard disk, modifying a partition seems rather extreme for an update workaround, unsafe, and IMHO highly NOT recommended. My questions are:

Is there another workaround or fix to KB5034441 not installing?
How important is this update seeing how update Tuesday is in just a few days?

UPDATE: Tuesday 2/27/2024
The issue was resolved by enabling the TPM is BIOS to allow the operating system to access the TPM. Nothing was done to modify partitions from the default install size. Currently I have a 50MB NTFS System partition, a 465GB Primary partition, and a 546MB Recovery partition.
Looking in the Update history, KB5034441 installed correctly. Kudos to 1proggy, below, for coming up with the answer for my system.

    No. TPM access is already allowed on all my devices. This fix does NOT work. Still had to change partition sizes which did solve the issue.

    i downloaded the show/hide updates tool and ran it to block that update, we will see if that works, since I don't use the ms recovery anyway, I use macrium so have boot disc and stick for emergencies

    Good Day. My BIOS doesn't have TPM. I want to install KB5034441.

    My Disk Management shows 3 partitions on my SSD:

    First - 499MB (Recovery Partition);

    Second - 99MB (EFI System Partition);

    Third - 237,87GB (Boot, Crash Dump, Basic Data Partition).

    Would I be able to shrink Third and then merge unallocated space with First to increase it's size?

    EFI System Partition lies in between.

    I didn't have to bother with any of that.

    I used free Paragon Partition Manager

    Ignored the first prompt

    navigated to repartition data to shrink

    Added size to recovery partition

    Saved

    Rebooted

    Ran update.

    Done.

    Don't make it complicated.

    No. You need to try something else. Disable Windows RE, convert the recovery partition to basic, enable Windows RE and install the update.
