Is there a workaround for KB5034441 install failure that doesn't require partition modification?

We know about the failure of KB5034441, and the recent recommendations to modify a partition as a workaround. As an old school practitioner (since 3.1 came on floppies), and having crashed many a hard disk, modifying a partition seems rather extreme for an update workaround, unsafe, and IMHO highly NOT recommended. My questions are:

Is there another workaround or fix to KB5034441 not installing?
How important is this update seeing how update Tuesday is in just a few days?

UPDATE: Tuesday 2/27/2024
The issue was resolved by enabling the TPM is BIOS to allow the operating system to access the TPM. Nothing was done to modify partitions from the default install size. Currently I have a 50MB NTFS System partition, a 465GB Primary partition, and a 546MB Recovery partition.
Looking in the Update history, KB5034441 installed correctly. Kudos to 1proggy, below, for coming up with the answer for my system.

    Second, as you stated that your remedy was easier and in your view, superior to your quoted method indicated in Step 5.1 you rely on the content or lack thereof in Step 5.1 to prove/disprove, i.e. make your contention that your method is easier. Thus we need to investigate the method in 5.1 before reckoning the worthiness of your contention--of course. Note that Microsoft began supporting GPT in the 2000s, check your math. I am not claiming that GPT is not superior to MBR, or even more popular presently, only that there are still a plethora of the MBR systems still in everyday use and that they are the particular target of the Recovery partition creation and maintenance failures, and the KB5034441 failures. Thus, your prescribed solution applies to a narrow range of the most modern PCs that and is thus very narrow in scope. Finally, your offhand assumption [without verifiable supporting statistical evidence] that there are more GPT {short for GUID Partition Table) PC systems in use today than MBR PC systems overall in the world you do not support with evidence:

And let me clarify, I'm aware of Al Reaud's "Thread Title" but I never commented directly about his issue, the "TPM/BIOS" discussion the two of you had etc. I responded to others who WERE discussing, "...changing the size of the partition." As for the, "...doesn't require partition modification?" element of this thread....

    First off - you made a reply on page 2 to "tbomb80's" suggesting that they should resize the "RP":

    "Hi,

    I would advise resizing your recovery partition to just under 900 MByte at first try, then if necessary 1.25 GByte. If you have an Intel 805xx processor-based system you probably will not succeed."

    So I replied on page 3 to "tbomb80's" initial comment from page 1 and simply stated what I had done to change the size of the recovery partition on my machine. I recommended the same thing to others who were concerned about, "...correctly typing commands into the command prompt in accordance with the guide." as not everyone is comfortable following the steps outlined in the guide.

    I never used the term "superior" but I won't deny that the software GUI is simpler and safer, especially for novice users, than attempting to enter commands in the "CLI" just as I would find it simpler and safer to "shut off a circuit breaker before working on an electrical outlet" rather than "attempting to work on the outlet with it still energized, trying not to short the terminals."

    Also, I don't have to "prove" an "assumption" with "verifiable supporting statistical evidence" otherwise it wouldn't be an "assumption!" Check your vocabulary definitions, kind sir.

    Don’t know what’s going on with Windows but from the beginning of this year I’ve had a higher success rate of installing a Trojan than any of there dodgy untested updates.. There latest security updates on Windows 10 now has fully bricked my high end gaming pc to bios so thankyou for ruining my pride and joy windows.

    I have same issue on an old Dell 690 that still works fine but the fix did not fix this. MS must be up to old tricks trying to disable old computers as a lot of previous updates made me reset windows. Its so they can sell more windows licenses=more profits=higher stock price. I may need to look at Linux again or some other more lucrative OS as this monopoly continues. Cant wait for Windows 11 w AI and more CIA/FBI spy **** NOT.
