Mouse Stutter in Windows 11

I have been using this Windows desktop fine since this past December (2023). And starting last week, the mouse I had started lagging. So I tried a different mouse and that also started lagging on the computer.

I have tried the following:

  • Driver updates
  • Windows 11 reinstall (with data save)
  • Uninstalling mouse driver
  • Updating Windows

None of those worked. Any ideas would very much help!

Why has Microsoft not fixed this yet? So many people have this issue. It's not a hardware issue, too many people have it. Fix it!

Yes, I have it. For me, If I plug my mouse in to the USB, that is not use wireless, I'm fine.

    Hi, good day! I'm Jerico T., I understand that you're having some issues right now, I'll do my best to help you with your concern.

    Please try to perform the troubleshooting methods below and check if any of the resolve will fix the issue.

    Method 1: Roll-back driver

    1. Open run box by pressing Windows Key + R and type devmgmt.msc then hit enter
    2. Locate and expand Mice and other pointing devices
    3. Right-click HID-compliant mouse and select Update driver
    4. Select Browse my computer for drivers
    5. Select Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
    6. Select any older driver from the list and click next
    7. Wait for the process to complete, once completed, restart your computer and check if it resolves your issue.

    If method 1 did not work, please proceed to method 2.

    Method 2: Go to your manufacturer's website

    1. Open run-box by pressing windows key + R, type msinfo32 and hit enter.
    2. Look for your System Model and System Manufacturer, take note of them.
    3. Go to your manufacturer's website and search for your mouse driver using the information that you noted.
    4. Download and install the mouse driver, restart your computer and check if the issue still persists.

    Hi! This worked fine, but then I went to restart my computer and afterward, it started happening again when I logged into my account on Windows.

    I have the ASRock Z790 Steel Series WiFi system model. I can't find any drivers on the ASRock site, but that site is also a disaster.

    Thank you for your quick response. I see, kindly repeat the steps below.

    1. Open run-box by pressing windows key + R, type msinfo32 and hit enter.
    2. Look for your System Model and System Manufacturer and take a screenshot of it then send it here for me to further check.
