I have been using this Windows desktop fine since this past December (2023). And starting last week, the mouse I had started lagging. So I tried a different mouse and that also started lagging on the computer. I have tried the following: Driver updates Windows 11 reinstall (with data save) Uninstalling mouse driver Updating Windows None of those worked. Any ideas would very much help! I had the issue and the problem disappeared when I downgraded to Win10. I'm certain it's got something to do with Win11.

Joking yeah?Windows animation? Thought that was extinct after W3.1? 8 core CPU and 32GB RAM and I need to turn something off for a basic input to work? Anyway @jim bragger USB2.0 port appears to be working so far thanks

Try turning off Window's animation effect - worked for me

Hm, sounds like a good idea but that means plugging dongle back in at the rear which gave me issues with the keyboard missing 50% of the keystrokes. That being said, here i am using the rear port without a single missing character. Mouse is working fine at the moment but the issue was random Time will tell.

Why has Microsoft not fixed this yet? So many people have this issue. It's not a hardware issue, too many people have it. Fix it!

Yes, I have it. For me, If I plug my mouse in to the USB, that is not use wireless, I'm fine.
