I have been using this Windows desktop fine since this past December (2023). And starting last week, the mouse I had started lagging. So I tried a different mouse and that also started lagging on the computer.
I have tried the following:
None of those worked. Any ideas would very much help!
EDIT: Plug a wired mouse into your computer

This happened to me after I installed "Windows 11, version 24H2" update. It lags on desktop and on explorer (folders). It does not lag in any other opened applications (for example games). Also my mouse is wired, not wireless. Help!
Hi All,
It's really a nightmare today.. do you see a reason why it's worse than usual?
a me esce scritto SYSTEM PRODUCT NAME perchè?
Hi, I had a stuttering mouse for ages. The fix for me was to remove a wireless headphone USB dongle. This was interfering with the wireless mouse.
Anyone with two wireless devices on their PC with mouse stuttering, try removing any second wireless/bluetooth dongles first.
thanks
