I have been using this Windows desktop fine since this past December (2023). And starting last week, the mouse I had started lagging. So I tried a different mouse and that also started lagging on the computer.

I have tried the following:

  • Driver updates
  • Windows 11 reinstall (with data save)
  • Uninstalling mouse driver
  • Updating Windows

None of those worked. Any ideas would very much help!

EDIT: Plug a wired mouse into your computer

Why has Microsoft not fixed this yet? So many people have this issue. It's not a hardware issue, too many people have it. Fix it!

Yes, I have it. For me, If I plug my mouse in to the USB, that is not use wireless, I'm fine.

    Hi,

I tried multiple other ports including a hub as well as a new mouse I purchased from Amazon. Neither of which worked.

Thanks for keeping me posted. Yes, it seems that it's a hardware issue. Kindly try to get a new mouse and check if it fixes the issue. Also, try to plug it to different USB ports.

    Regards,

    Jerico T.

I just tried this method and the mouse lagged before I even got past the Welcome to Windows screen with all the checkboxes involving find my device, location, etc. 100% hardware issue I guess.
